Default A few general suggestions...

Ok, so some or all of these may have been suggested earlier, but im just beginning to be a forum troll, so i havent quite gotten to the stage where I decide to read everything everyone says. Also, I havent experienced the game in full, so some of these things may yet be in the game and i havent found them yet... these things may be too hard to impliment, i have no idea, but again, would be nice to see em. in any case, here are my suggestions

the option for different kinds of pvp- 4v4 can get old, give us the option to choose 1v1, 2v2, 5v5, Free for all, so on.

More classes- Im sure that if the game gets popular enough they will release an expansion with more classes, but yeah, it would be nice to see some kind of assasin class, another healing class, and another tanking class, but distinctly different from warrior... like berserker or something.

A Market,Auction house, Bazaar, whatever you want to call it- The whole spamming in cities is annoying beyond belief... At least create a zone specific for it.

Jump!- i realize that this would be really hard to change since youd have to change pretty much everything about the environments, but way down the line somewhere, it would be nice to have our "epic heroes" be able to hop a little.

I cant seem to find a command for searching for someone's class. /who was the command in all other mmo's and it doesnt work in this.

I had some other things but i cant think of them right now. All in all this game is basically superawesome. WoW had better get hero classes and battlegrounds in soon or its going to lose all its people to GW.

Concerning 1v1, I saw a thread (can't remember if it was this site or another) about the pitfalls of allowing players that option. Long story short, if this were to get put in, you'd have people making solo pvp characters and then they start complaining about why they can't kill a lvl 10 monster with that character and how unbalanced the game is now.

Concerning additional classes, there is a real possibility that future expansions may have addidional classes and/or races.

Having auction houses is another suggestion that is seen more often now. Many find that the spamming is irritating, especially to those actually trying to make a decent trade, but you'll end having something like, "Come buy from such and such at the auction house" being spammed instead.

Jumping? I don't know what to say about that one.

Just a friendly reminder: use the search function. I have seen threads covering these topics (I'm still unsure about the first one) in these forums. If you dont find it, then make a post. Searching will save you time and it helps keep the forums from being as cluttered as they are already.

I also wish we had a auction house, I believe it would cut down on item spam, and give people a proper look at the item before they buy it. I have been playing for awhile, and have noticed this would be a very useful thing. In most cities that have many people you cannot chat at all because people are spamming normal chat and trade chat to sell things. The option to turn off trade channel just makes sellers spam normal channels as well.

Regarding the spam I would say give it time. Right now its not long after release, a lot of the higher level areas beyond Lions Arch are fairly empty, especially compared to Ascalon. After a while instead of seeing heaps and heaps of spammers in the same few area's id expect to see the entire population spread out a bit more through the game, and for the spammers to either follow, or create cities everyone avoids.

I would say rather than trying to change the problem, create auction houses, or have to ignore or leave channels, I would punish repeat offenders. An account block for a few days if enough people make noise about this kind of behaviour I would see as fair, and serving people right.

If Guild Wars is going to grow and grow, then I would hope the main aim is keeping the 'feel' of the game, the mystique of the land, and the uniqueness and personality of the players, and not have it go down the road of becoming a childishness infested nightmare that stops people playing like in other games.

Take a harsh stance against rubbish like spam, insults, scamming etc. after all people cant hide behind a monthly fee for their 'freedom of speech' or whatever, so this game should be kept in strict order in regards to those kinds of things.

While an assassin class seems cool, I don't think it would be incredibly in effect with the game, it is more about positioning and proper skill usage, not stealth and one shotting, adding that in may disrupt too much.

Plus, another monk class isn't necessary, there are already three basic primary monks, alot more that can be done with varieties of skills, and the ability for anyone to be a bit of a healer.

And just as with another tank, not necessary, it is the way of the Game, six classes may seem small, but you really get about three main variances per primary class, tack on the variety offered by a secondary to go alternate routes, as well as the massive amount of spells, and you will cover every possible ability.

Adding even 1 class with 75 skills adds 12 new class combinations and 31,543,268,456,700 possible skillbars. Multiply that by the variety of ways to assign attributes (let's only consider the main "good" varieties, lets take the 28 listed splits in the Guides section for 5 attributes and under, permuting for the various attribute selections (we'll say 7 attributes to select from, to be conservative)) which come out to 808 selections from 7 attributes using the 28 splits, gives us 25,486,960,913,013,600 new builds just by adding one class. That's a lot of work to balance - granted, I have approximated as I don't actually take out the elites skills so they might have 2+elites in many of those and I used only 7 attributes while you could easily have 9 to choose from, plus there are the 6 and 7 attribute builds and less efficient ones at 5 and fewer attributes.

Point is that it's absurdly complex to add even one class without unbalancing things. As well, since there are so many combinations and ways to play it will be difficult to come up with a class that is not simply recombining abilities from existing classes in essence.
